epoq Provides Orientation and Reduces Effort For Online Shop Administration Through Intelligent Search at VAN GRAAF

21. Sep 2020 | Tatiana Solarte 0:00

Ettlingen, 21 September 2020 - epoq internet services GmbH, the software manufacturer for holistic online shop personalisation, has optimised the search function in both the German and Polish online shops of VANGRAAF.COM, the online shop of the Peek&Cloppenburg* KG Hamburg fashion house. By integrating the intelligent search, the effort for the online shop administration could be minimised and at the same time the conversion rate of the onsite search could be increased by 9,5% to www.vangraaf.com/de. On the Polish side (www.vangraaf.com/pl), the conversion rate of the onsite search even increased by 16% and the number of orders via the search function by 30%.

Search optimisation measures in the VAN GRAAF online shops lead customers to the right product

VAN GRAAF, a subsidiary of Peek&Cloppenburg* KG Hamburg, is active as an international fashion house with 200 labels in various countries such as Poland, Switzerland, Latvia, Hungary and the Czech Republic. The online shop is also successfully represented in Germany as well as in Poland – and the same quality standards apply here as for the fashion stores spread throughout Europe: customers should feel comfortable on their shopping journey and find their way to their desired products.

This is why VAN GRAAF decided to integrate epoq Search into both the German and Polish online shops. After all, in order to provide excellent orientation in the online shop, an intelligent search that includes, for example, a clear filter function and a high level of error tolerance are crucial.

Significant minimisation of the effort for online shop administration through a search algorithm and an optimised product catalogue

The integration of an intelligent search algorithm and the matching of the search settings to the product data in the online shop have helped to reduce the administrative effort, especially in the maintenance of synonyms. The expansion of the category structure in the product catalogue carried out by epoq has also contributed to this. This is also confirmed by Online Product Manager Christin Augustin: “The integration of the epoq Search optimised the search experience for our customer and significantly reduced the maintenance effort.”

The implementation in the Polish online shop was also realised without any problems. This makes it easier for customers of the VAN GRAAF online shop to quickly find the products they are looking for thanks to the intelligent search.
